So, I can't be certain if this is a Contacts issue or an Outlook Web App issue. Interestingly, Contacts has an address folder for each internet account which shows all address cards for that account, but when I go to Outlook Web App, I can't view all of my contacts in one list I can only view contacts through individual lists which were placed under 'Other contacts'. Even the Outlook Web App portal doesn't have a setting for automatically adding emails to your contacts list. I can't find a setting anywhere to turn this automation off. Deleting these cards won't work because they will just be re-created over and over again. But the cards that are automatically generated only contain the email address. The address cards that I have created myself contain the contact's name, phone number, etc. So, I either have duplicate cards (for contacts that I have already created) or I have address cards that I don't even want.
Even though I have already created address cards for particular emails through Contacts, it's automatically creating new cards for preexisting contacts. What's happening is that it's taking every single email address that I have ever sent to, and it's automatically creating new address cards under that Exchange account. and it's not behaving as expected in Contacts. I have to an Exchange ( Outlook Web App) account set up as one of my internet accounts.
